Sabuj Knan High School (সবুজ কানন উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়) is a school in Sirajgonj town, Sirajgonj Sadar Upazila, Bangladesh. ==History== The school was established in 1980 with the help of former Deputy Commissioner Md. Azizul Haque Vuiyan, local residents, government assistance, and non-governmental people. The school was initially named Rashedajjoha Girls College'' but later called Sabuj Kanan High School. After some time at Mujib Road the school gained its own shelter and started classes with eight tin-shed classrooms. When the school began, lecturer Mrs. Mosfeka Rahman played a vital role as a teacher. On 1 July 1985 Md. Azizul Islam joined as a teacher followed by senior teacher Mrs. Raushon Ara on 1 April 1986. From 1 November 1987 to date, Mrs. Shahnaz Mahfuza Parveen has been Principal. Initially the school taught from play group to class five. In 1987 the school only had 148 students. By 2011 the school boasted over 3500 students. In 1993 the school opened class six and then to class eight. In 1995, with the help of MD.Saiyad Abdul Malik and Mr. Abul Hossain, the school was changed to Secondary. A five storied building was constructed which contained 49 class rooms. The ground floor and the first floor were made with the help of Mr. Saiyad Abdur Rouf Mukta. In 2004, with the help of former Deputy Commissioner Aminul Bar Chowdhury and the other members of the managing committee, the second floor was built. In 2000, the play group through class two was run in a morning shift while classes three through ten were run during a day shift.
